Which Mac do I need for Stemverter 4?+
Stemverter 4 needs an Apple Silicon Mac (M1, M2, M3, or M4) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later.
I have an Intel or older Mac — can I still buy Stemverter?+
Yes. If your Mac doesn’t meet the Stemverter 4 requirements, your purchase installs Stemverter 3 automatically at download — one price, one license. Stemverter 3 supports Intel and Apple Silicon Macs on macOS 11 Big Sur or later. If you later move to an Apple Silicon Mac on Sonoma or newer, Stemverter 4 is a free upgrade on the same license.
How do I activate my license?+
After purchase you’ll receive a license key by email. Open Stemverter, click Activate, and paste your key. The app contacts our server once to verify — after that, it works entirely offline.
Can I transfer my license to a new Mac?+
Yes. Deactivate on your old Mac (Stemverter → Preferences → Deactivate), then activate on the new one. If you no longer have access to the old Mac, log in to cfloinc.com/account and remove the machine there.
What audio formats are supported?+
Stemverter accepts MP3, M4A, AIFF, WAV, and FLAC as input. Output stems can be exported as WAV, MP3, or AIFF at up to 24-bit quality.
Does Stemverter require an internet connection?+
Only for license activation. All stem separation runs locally on your Mac — your files never leave your computer.
Why is there a 2-Mac activation limit?+
Each license supports 2 personal Macs so you can use Stemverter on both a studio machine and a laptop. If you need more activations, contact support@cfloinc.com.
